Description
The metro sequencer is a specially designed device used to safely connect and isolate traction power between overhead wire (OHW) lines. It enables local and remote operation via a control panel and a Process Control & Monitoring System Human Machine Interface (PCMS HMI) for user-friendly operation. By controlling the movement and sequence of isolator switch blades, the sequencer ensures the safety of both operators and equipment.
The local control panel includes a key switch, blade position indicators, fault indicators, sequencer health status and command push buttons which allows operators to effectively monitor the status of the isolators and track circuits, and manually reset the sequencer if necessary.
The sequencer is connected to the System Interface Boxes (SIBs) of the isolator systems to give real-time information on the status of the isolator switch blades.
The sequencer is housed in an AISI 316 stainless steel enclosure with an IP66 rating, along with AISI 316 stainless steel sunshades to prevent overheating. Custom galvanised steel brackets enable secure sequencer mounting for wall and mast mounting.
