Built to create safer working environments on rolling stock whilst undergoing service and maintenance, our world class patented award winning Earthing Switch is designed and manufactured with rating up to 2000 Amps. The function of the Earth Switch, that is manually operated and locked by maintenance workers, is to provide an added level of protection to ensure that all HV circuits of the train are earthed during works. The core switch mechanism is based on an existing Australian Rail Technology outdoor-type DC isolator, redesigned to fit within a small frame-mount enclosure. Features include Dual contacts to simultaneously earth the main and auxillary HV circuits, IP65 Rating, 30 micro-ohm contact resistance, Mechanically interlocked access panel, Auxillary contacts to high speed circuit breaker, Panograph and eTIS.
