Australian Rail Technology is the sole Australian agent for all Galland products. Galland manufactures overhead line hardware including section insulators and neutral sections.

The Galland 25kV Section insulators have been installed and successfully operated for over 25 years in Queensland on the QR and QR National network. NSW has successfully operated the 1500V section insulator for the past 26 years.

EMC Pacific manufacture world class permanently hydrophobic cycloaliphatic Epoxy Resin (PH-CEP) Line Insulators for 11kV to 72kV Electrical distribution network applications. These are exhaustively tested to (AS/NSS, IEC, ANSI & CEA) Standards. Field proven insulators include Line Insulators, Pin Insulators with integrated clamp top insulator options. They offer high thermal crack resistance, excellent strength and a 40 year plus design life.

Section Insulators 25kV / 1500VDC

25kV Section Insulator

Section insulators are used all over the rail network. They are essential to allow intervention on the overhead lines without shutting down a whole area. The purpose of the product is to divide the network into individual sections isolated from each other. The Section Insulator has to deal with high electrical values, which requires an elaborated design to ensure a good isolation. The device is directly mounted on the contact wire and has to smoothly guide the train pantograph from one section to another.
